    Frequently asked questions

    How are values typed?

    Numbers, true, false and empty cells become numbers, booleans and null. Turn on "Keep all values as text" to get every value as a string.

    Can I get nested JSON?

    Yes. Column names with dots, such as user.name, become nested objects, and cells containing JSON arrays or objects are parsed back.

    Does it handle quotes and line breaks inside cells?

    Yes. Quoted fields can contain commas, quotes and line breaks, as in the CSV standard.

    Is my data uploaded?

    No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.

    Are long numbers kept exactly?

    Yes. Numbers too large for JavaScript, such as 64-bit IDs, keep every digit.
